I clicked on the link to Claire Swinarski’s article, and was swept up in the beautiful writing and nodding in agreement. As I scrolled down the page I then saw Funeral Ladies and almost gasped out loud! It is one of the books that I am most looking forward to reading this spring and somehow I never made the connection. Now I am even more excited!
So glad you loved Omaha! It's a really great food and kid-friendly city (I'm obviously biased, even though I'm not an Omaha native I've been here for almost 8 years now) and Marisa is a sweetheart of the highest order. ;)
Aw, I'm so glad you got to experience a bit of Omaha. It's a great town. Did you happen to get to Modern Love in Midtown Crossing? Even carnivores say it's some of the best food they've ever had. :) I love it.

Just discovered Tara Isabella Burton and read her latest novel, Here in Avalon. She’s fantastic. Loved her essay as well.
