I’ll be honest: I was worried about this film.

I love the novel by Maggie O’Farrell and with so much of the book centering on the inner life of the characters, I wasn’t sure how it could translate to cinema. The novel’s characters are spellbinding, the prose is gorgeous, and the heartbreak is gut-wrenching. How could such a story be communicated in film?
