Mouse Nuns, Lyme Regis, Jane Austen, and a New Mystery to Solve

Friends, just popping into your inbox to let you know that my new book released TODAY!

For the first time, I received a little “an author you follow is releasing a new book” email from Amazon…about me. And I gotta say, “Customers” have good taste because I’m pleased as punch to be in the company of Meg Hunter-Kilmer, Carey Wallace, Rev. Jacques Philippe, and Dr. Abigail Favale!

I can’t wait for you to read Book 3 of The Sister Seraphina Mysteries and I’ve heard from a few readers that their books shipped early and they’ve already starting reading it with their kids.

This one was a lot of fun to write because I got to explore a new setting: Lyme Regis, a lovely seaside town where G.K. and Frances Chesterton have gone on holiday (historical fact!) and the mice of St. Wulfhilda’s Abbey and school stowaway in their car (not a historical fact—or at least unconfirmed).

There are adorable new characters, too. (Tuppence Tailfeather is my personal favorite, but I hear that young readers are particularly fond of Mrs. Tiddlywink.)

And because it is set in Lyme Regis (the location of parts of Jane Austen’s Persuasion) you know I had to throw in a few Austen Easter eggs for my fellow Janeites.

As always, Betsy Wallin, the illustrator, has completely outdone herself. There are illustrations on every page and Betsy just knows how to capture these sweet characters. Seeing each book come alive brings me so much joy.
